"Impossible! Unforgivable! " ― Fuka

Fuka Tachibana (橘フウカ) from Idol x Warrior Miracle Tunes! is the dance genius of the idol group, Miracle2. She transforms into the blue idol warrior.

Biography[]

Appearance[]

Fuka is a short girl and wears her long black hair in a ponytail, tied with a blue hairband almost all the time. She has bangs swept to the left.

Her casual outfits always consist of tomboyish and sporty outfits, mostly with the color of blue. Due to her personality and being a dancer, she prefers being comfortable than looking good. She is rarely seen with skirts or feminine looking things. Her blue Sound Jewel is in the form of a necklace.

When performing as an idol, Fuka's hair is tied up the same, but there are little braids done in her hair, in the color of blue. Instead of a plain hairband, Fuka uses a blue ribbon. Her idol outfit is mainly blue with small sleeves. Her top is light blue. There is a silver line in the middle of the top, and a pattern is shown, in the colors black, yellow, white, and a little bit of blue. There is a light blue belt, with her Miracle Tact sitting in a case that matches the belt. Her shorts have the same pattern as the top. There is also a blue layer, shown on the outfit. She wears white and blue shoes as high as her ankles.

Her second idol outfit is mainly white with colorful spots on the outfit. She has blue laces and short blue sleeves and wears shorts. Her hair and shoes remain the same.

As an Idol Warrior, her hair is the same, only with blue highlights. She wears a blue bow with a treble clef in the middle. She wears a blue headset with a microphone for performing. She has colorful eye makeup which consists of stars and music notes. Her outfit is white-based, with blue shoulder pads and a big blue circle in the middle, with a music note on it. Sitting near her hip is her Miracle Tact, with a blue case storing it in. Her shorts are silver and above her shorts is a thicker blue outer layer with a music stave. She wears white knee-high socks with blue piano keys on the sides and she wears fingerless gloves. Her shoes are white with blue outlines. She has sky blue nail polish.

Her Final Mode outfit consists of a white attire quite similar to her normal transformation outfit but instead lacks blue and her shorts have become a skirt, having colorful treble clefs on it. Her shoes are also different, becoming white knee-high lace boots. Her headset and ribbons have also become white, and the blue streaks in her hair have increased.

In the style of anime and manga, Fuka has dark blue hair with light blue highlights and has blue eyes. She has eye makeup in the manga while she does not have eye makeup in anime style. Fuka has dark blue nail polish in the manga.

Personality[]

Fuka initially came off as a cold and aloof person, having a poker face and stiff personality to people she isn't close to. Cool-headed and never portrayed her true feelings, Fuka was hard to befriend. This was evident when they announced her as a new member of Miracle2. When her name was called out, she coolly accepted but as she headed towards the stairs she began to leap for joy and portray the excitement that she had been keeping in from other people in private.[citation needed]Despite her cool attitude and behaviour, she gets annoyed or mad quite easily. Fuka was also independent, often doing things by herself. Throughout being with her comrades, Fuka has loosened up and shows more emotion in front of them, along with learning how to do things with her peers, however her cold personality still remains most of the time.

She adamantly refuses to do things that aren't in line with her original plans and that's shown when they told her of Miracle Tunes. She refused to be a part of the fights but when her elementary school teacher who had taught her dancing was attacked, she took action.[citation needed] Later, she reveals that she didn't want to fight because of her grandparents who take care of her. She is kind-hearted despite the cold façade. She also does not do things if they are bothersome or inconvenient to her.

She is also a bit of a tomboy, reflected by her style of clothing, and scrunches her face in disgust when being handed a cute skirt by Kojiro when the Miracle2 members and staff went out.

Fuka is hardworking and skilled and hates when people bring her down. During practice, when the choreography had to be made easier due to Kanon's inability to dance as well as she does, this causes a heated discussion and tension between them but she gradually calms down when she notices how hard Kanon practiced by herself, later gifting her with some shoelaces.[citation needed] To hide her feelings, she tends to take it out on other people. She has great dancing skills and tries to improve every time. She is strict on her own skills since she wants to be even better due to her very competitive nature. She can be seen as fierce when it comes to her idol activities and devotion.

Aside from her devotion to dancing, she is very family-oriented. She cares for her family as much as she does her for her friends, showing her caring side when you get closer towards her.

Relationships[]

Mai Kanzaki - Fuka was a fan of Mai prior to becoming a group member with her. Thus, she was overjoyed when she won the audition.

Kanon Ichinose - Meeting during the auditions, Kanon was fascinated by Fuka's dancing. They ended up becoming members of Miracle2 together. Fuka is always telling her to stop being so carefree and she disliked the idea of making dances easier because of Kanon. However, their relationship with one another gradually improves when Kanon is upset that Fuka's birthday didn't go as planned. Ignoring the mishaps, Fuka happily shared her food with her and the others.

Clanosuke - As her fairy, the two are always together, thus being very close. When Clanosuke claimed that ghosts weren't scientifically proven, Fuka fought back saying that that was hard to believe coming from a fairy.

Etymology[]

Fuka (フウカ) has no particular meaning but the most common meanings are "風花; Windflower", "風華; Wind Flower" and "風夏; Summer Wind".

Tachibana (橘) means "Mandarin Orange".

History[]

Fuka was born to two doctors who always leave Japan to work in dangerous areas so she lives with her grandparents, Sadao and Fumiko.[citation needed] This caused her to be jealous of people who had their parents with them all the time, and therefore grew a cold and distant personality.

She attended Katsumata Elementary School and discovered her passion for dance. After learning that Mai had been holding auditions for her new idol group, Fuka decides to pursue her dream and had her elementary school music teacher, Mr. Okada, teach her the dance to Mai's song, and went to the audition. This leads her to the path in which she continues, an idol.

Getting into Miracle2[]

She first encounters Kanon as they walk by one another, while Kanon wondered who she was. In the audition, Fuka is seen, doing her dancing, charming all the judges, and Kanon. The blue Sound Jewel glows, the fairies being happy. As everybody walks out, Fuka is seen packing her things, and Kanon goes over to her, complimenting her for her dance skills, and proceeds to ask Fuka some questions, the latter responding with blunt and cool words, which lead to Kanon being intrigued in her. Later on, Fuka is accepted as a Miracle2 member in which Kanon gleefully congratulates her. She, however, remains cool-headed and calm unlike Kanon, but as she leaves the audition room, she carefully glances around before jumping around in the utmost excitement, squealing in happiness, until Mai's manager comes and tells her to go to their room, in which she immediately regains her cool composure and heads there.

When officially meeting with Mai and Kanon, they also explained about being an Idol Warrior, along with an idol. Fuka, who wasn't expecting this, was hesitant in joining Miracle Tunes because she didn't want to fight, her initial thoughts being that she would just become an idol alongside Mai and adamantly refused to fight. Her mind changed when her teacher from Elementary school was attacked, hence agreeing to become an official member of the group.

Fuka is scouted by the number one artist in America and is worried due to her activities in Miracle2 and as an Idol Warrior. In the end, she decides not to go to America and stays with her friends.[citation needed]

5 years after her joining miracle2, Fuka announced that she will make her solo debut titled "Be Yourself" at a press conference. At this press conference, Kurumi Mira, a reporter for Girls2 monthly announces that she has been a fan of miracle2 however at that time, Claris turns her into a Kura-Yammy. There she encounters Kirapawa Snow who has ben trying to gain the Miracle Tunes Memory. The 2 fight the Paparazzi Kura-Yammy that has disrupted the press conference. The Kura-Yammy asks Fuka a variety of questions such as if there are really fights within her group or if she is jealous of the popularity of the other members. Kirapawa Snow is able to save her however she explains to her how even her partner says that she doesn't act like a heroine. Fuka reassures her saying that everyone gets scared, further explaining that everyone is different allowing Kirapawa Snow to realize that she must learn to be herself. With the Kirapawa Tact, the two face the Kura-Yammy again forcing her to dance to "Catch Me". Once again at the press conference, Fuka explains that her solo debut will create an opportunity to flourish outside of miracle2, allowing her to be herself. Thus, if each member of the group grows freely, their encounter again will have changed their group for the better, becoming much stronger. Her solo "Be Yourself" was to release on April 2, 2022.[7]
