Rina Usukura

Rina Usukura (薄倉里奈) is an actress and model under Incubation. She played the role of Akari Shiratori in Idol x Warrior Miracle Tunes!.

She is currently a member of the idol group KAIJU ON THE STAGE as the Singing Monster with the representative color of purple. From 2021 to 2022, she was a member of the project group REVE.

Biography[]

Rina was born on September 27, 2004, in Chiba Prefecture, and is the youngest out of the 2 children in her family. She is the second member of the family to be in the entertainment industry. Her older sister, Natsu, was a model as well as singer and dancer.

Etymology[]

Rina (里奈) uses the kanji 里 (sato; village) and 奈 (na; to exist) meaning "Village".

Usukura (薄倉) uses the kanji 薄 (usu; thin) and 倉 (kura; warehouse) meaning "thin warehouse".

Career[]

Pre-debut[]

Other than modelling for Roni Girl, Rina would have live performances for them as they modelled the clothing.

Rina attended dance school EXPG Yokohama in her 5th year of elementary school where Toa and Rina Yamaguchi also attended.^[1]

Rina began her career as a model for the popular kid's clothing brand, Roni as a 5th generation Roni Girl. Other than Roni Girls, Rina modelled for other brands such as JS-Girl.

2017-2019: Debut, Miracle Tunes and after[]

In 2017, Rina made her appearance on Idol x Warrior Miracle Tunes as one of the main protagonists of the series and was announced later than Asaka, Suzuka, and Yuzuha. Due to her being part of the group, she also guested in children's shows, like Oha Suta, with the other members.

Aside from acting in the show, Rina was a member of the idol unit they released through the series called Miracle2. Activities in the group lasted for a year.

In January until March of 2018, Rina played the role of Sana for "Tonari no Kazoku wa Aoki Mieru", as a supporting character.

As of May 1, 2019, she was announced as a member of a group of a project called "Shoujo Uta Gekidan Project", where the girls have daily lessons and learn to do traditional things such as tea ceremonies, Japanese traditional dance, sword fighting and singing.

On November 20, 2019, Rina was announced to leave Shoujo Uta Gekidan due to personal reasons.

2021: New Agency & REVE[]

On January 12, 2021, Rina revealed that she auditioned for Chojudai 2021 (超十代2021; Super Teens Model) to be a runway model. This was her first public activity since 2019. She has also created a LINE LIVE account which will be active from January 14 onward.

On February 5, she announced that she had signed with the talent agency "Incubation". Following suit, on February 8, Rina was also announced to be the new image model for “TEZUKA WORLD x RETRO GAME”, a collaboration between “Manga god” Tezuka Osamu and GAMES GLORIOUS.^[2]

On June 7, Rina announced that she was going to star in romance reality show "Kyousuki"'s latest season.

On October 1, she was announced as a member of the temporary project girl group REVE born from the "Chojudai Music Project Girls Unit ~Doripro~" (超十代音楽プロジェクトガールズユニット～ドリプロ～).
