Tsubasa Aiba (愛羽ツバサ) from Police x Heroine Lovepatrina! is a bright, energetic, love-filled hero who loves fluffy animals. With a strong desire to protect love, she transforms into "Lovepat Pink" with the element of "Animals".
Biography[]
Appearance[]
Tsubasa is the shortest Lovepat who wears her long black hair in twin-tails, tied with pink hairbands almost all the time.
Her casual outfits consist of cute and girly outfits, mostly with the color pink. Reflecting on her cheerful and girly personality, she wears skirts, shorts, and such. However, when portrayed in merch and the series, she is seen mostly in a tucked white shirt with a dark blue denim skirt and sneakers.
When in her school uniform, she wears a white polo shirt underneath a knee-length navy dress. Like the others, she has a navy bow on her collar.
As a Lovepat, she has a small red and pink police hat sitting at the top of her head. Tsubasa wears her hair in the signature twin-tails with streaks of pink. She wears knee-high white socks and white and pink boots. Tsubasa wears an outfit with a ribbon in the middle. There are two layers of her pink skirt and a ribbon at her backside. On her hands, she wears her white and pink gloves, and her transformation item is placed near her hips in a case.
In the style of anime and manga, Tsubasa has dark pink hair with light pink highlights and has bright pink eyes. Occasionally, she can be seen with a lighter shade of pink hair. Nonetheless, everything else is the same.
Personality[]
Tsubasa is optimistic, caring, and full of love. Also claimed that she is a very cheerful person by others. Strong willed and determined, she will do anything to protect someone's love. While she loves a lot of things, she most especially loves animals, especially those that are fluffy. This reflects on her relationship with Lovepyoco, who has the appearance of a fluffy rabbit.
Without thought on who the person could be, Tsubasa will love anybody unconditionally. Evident through her love for Sa-tan. Tsubasa allowed for Sa-tan Clause to take all her love however, because of her endless love, hers couldn’t be taken as there was simply too much. Energetic and bubbly, Tsubasa is very rarely saddened by things but despite getting her love taken from her, she remained determined to take it back.
Very rarely does Tsubasa dislike anything but she shows her dislike towards carrots which greatly upsets Lovepyoco. Seeing the affect her hatred towards carrots had towards her, Tsubasa is willing to try it, though hesitant.[2]
Relationships[]
Yuu Aiba - As mother and daughter, the two have a close bond. Wanting a pet, Yuu apologizes as she can't get her one because her dad is allergic, but promises she would do anything for her.
Sarai Shihara - It was Tsubasa's appearance as a Lovepat that made Sarai want to become one. Sarai admires how Tsubasa could protect someone's love like that, and the two are good friends, being comrades in battle.
Lovepyoco - The two have a close relationship, seen as when they slept together in Tsubasa's bed on the first day they met. Tsubasa likes Lovepyoco for her cuteness and fluffiness, and both of them love each other very much. The two are often seen cuddling each other. As well as this, she doesn’t like when she is upset. Upon realizing that her dislike to carrots upset Lovepyoco, she’s willing to try it for her. Ultimately realizing that carrots are sweeter and better than she initially thought.
Satan - Meeting Sa-tan as a mere egg, Sa-tan follows Tsubasa as though she were a chick following her mother. Often times not planned, the two spend time with each other. Teaching her about love, Tsubasa’s strong and never ending love helps recover Sa-tan from her true form as Satan Clause.
Etymology[]
Tsubasa (ツバサ) can be written in kanji as 翼, which means 'wing'.
Aiba (愛羽) means 'Feather of Love', with 愛 (love) and 羽 (feather or wing).
History[]
Tsubasa is a love-filled ordinary middle schooler who lives with her mother who is an author and her father. As a child, she loved animals but due to her father’s allergies, she was unable to have one.
Synopsis[]
Becoming a Lovepat[]
On the way home from the park with her mother, they part ways as her mother goes shopping. At the park, she encounters a rabbit named Lovepyoco which shocks her a bit. Lovepyoco invites her to the Lovepat Secret Headquarters where she meets Director Loveji. When a call comes in asking for help because of a Love Zero at a market, she realizes it's her mother and is determined to help her. As she finally reaches her now Love Zero mother who no longer recognizes her, her strong will to protect her mother's love allows her to transform into a Lovepatrina.[3]
Not long after that, she encounters Sarai, her classmate, yelling on the school roof with the Lovepat Yell asking to be a Lovepat too. Upon further inspection, Tsubasa decides to ask Director Loveji if he could make her one too, due to the love she has. However, they receive a call and see Sarai with the Love Zero blocking them away from the crowd. When Sarai transforms into Lovepat Purple, Lovepatrina becomes a two-member team.
Sooner, Tsubasa and Sarai head to the library to purify a Love Zero, who turns out to be the librarian of the school. Unbeknownst to Tsubasa and Sarai, Sora, a female student, was watching them transform. As the Lovepats take down the Love Zero, Sora stands up in awe. When the girls were about to leave, Sora stops them, and Tsubasa immediately panics due to their identity being figured out. Sora asks if she could help, and as the girls were confused by what she meant, Director Loveji appears, saying that he has the perfect job for Sora, and makes her the Lovepat supporter.
As Kohana transfers to Tsubasa's school, the girls are shocked by how skillful she is in terms of academics and sports. As a florist becomes a Love Zero, Tsubasa and Sarai rush over to where Kohana and the florist were. Unable to defeat the Love Zero, Kohana's strong love for flowers makes her a Lovepat. She transforms for the first time, and with the power of the three, purify the Love Zero. Lovepatrina thus becomes a trio.
As they fight for a few more several times, Lovepatrina has been revealed to be very popular, even appearing on the popular magazine Lovecchigumi. Tsubasa and her comrades noticed Hayato Kenzaki, the girl's senior reading the magazines very enthusiastically, and feel a strong passion burning off him. Suddenly, the shopkeeper becomes a Love Zero. The Lovepats rush off to help and successfully purify the Love Zero. Hayato becomes the newcomer chief at the Lovepatrina secret headquarters. Tsubasa also does training with her fellow Lovepats after Hayato's arrival but is exhausted very quickly.
In order to better her skills, the newly appointed Lovepat Chief, Hayato, orders the girls to train so that they can get better. He uses Tsubasa's mother's novel as a way for the girls to train by watching it. Later, Tsubasa is dragged into the world of that novel where she successfully turns the Love Zero back to normal.
Sa-tan[]
After a battle with a Love Zero, Tsubasa encounters an egg which she takes home. Unknown to her, the egg actually contained Satan. When it cracked, revealing her, Tsubasa showed her what love truly was. Following these events, she learned who Sa-tan was but never let it bother her. The two would encounter one another often and spent time at an amusement park however their time together was suddenly cut short when Pack and Rincho gave Sa-tan a hat. Not willing to wear it, Sa-tan would watch Tsubasa attempt to fight a Love Zero. The two would sing to overcome her power but before they could celebrate their victory, Sa-tan’s hat began to work. Tsubasa was greatly saddened when Sa-tan became “Satan Clause”, her true self.
As Satan Clause, she rid of all the love Tsubasa had leaving her in a state of depression but she continued to remain determined. Motivated to return Sa-tan back, she rushed to her with the others. Lovepat Pink allowed for Sa-tan to take her love, saying she could give her all the love she needs. With love the never ended, Satan Clause found it difficult to contain. There they gained a new card “Lovely Card” in which had the ability to purify Sa-tan. With it’s use, the girls managed to overthrow the power holding Sa-tan.
Due to missing Christmas, the girls decided to hold a Christmas party with a New Year Party for Sa-tan. However, the carrier turned into a Love Zero and while the girls were struggling, Sa-tan appeared and helped them. Now back to her usual self, a Christmas / New Years party could be held however it also became time for Sa-tan to leave.
Transforming into Lovepyocorina[]
After receiving the excellence award for writing, Tsubasa receives news that thousands of people became Love Zero’s. Dispatching to the site, she released 2021 Love Zero warnings to those affected. She then used Cat Mode to capture each Love Zero but though she managed to purify each of the Love Zero’s, she is shocked to see another Love Zero still standing. One whose power was stronger than the others, one named “Waru Waru Love Zero”. With his illusion skills, he disappeared. Those at the Secret HQ were left to wonder. The four believing they could rid of it using their new “Lovely Card” however Director Loveji tells them that the power it has won’t be enough. Meanwhile, Hayato has run off to a library to search for what they need, ultimately finding what could help get the girls to power up.
After searching, using multiple maps that mysteriously led them back to the headquarters, the girls are confused as to where to look. Tsubasa goes to bed that night and awakens the next morning to a bunch of carrots on her pillow - much to her shock. Running out her room, screaming for her mom, she reveals that she hates carrots. After a while, she appears at the headquarters and shows them a note that Lovepyoco had run away. Director Loveji points out that Lovepyoco seems to have been growing Mimipyoco's speciality of carrots - further revealing that they were used to energise people. Tsubasa says that she accidentally blurted out that she hates carrots, realising that Lovepyoco had probably heard her.
On a mission to find Lovepyoco, she uses the "Hearing Card" to find out where Lovepyoco is. Upon finding her, the two pour out their feelings, both apologising and revealing their love for each other. Joined by the other Lovepat's, the Love Zero appears and binds them with hand-like handcuffs. But Lovepyoco's determination to protect them sets them free, and she also reveals another item - after feeling a random surge of power within her. Tsubasa and the others take the Lovepat Pyoco Heart and transform into Lovepyocorina.

"Lovepat Pink, Tsubasa!"
Lovepat Pink (ラブパトピンク) is Tsubasa's Base Heroine Mode. In this mode, she can access different modes, items, and powers by borrowing them from Lovepat Cards through the Lovepat Shuffle and the Lovepat Wing.
Transformation[]
Tsubasa inserts the Lovepat Pink Transform Card into the Lovepat Shuffle and Shuffles it in before pressing the ribbon button. She then gets transported to her locker room where three elephant statues for each part of her Lovepat Uniform come out of the locker cabinets and sprays her with the particles that binds together to form her uniform around her. After being equipped in her uniform, she starts her solo dance sequence or with the other Lovepatrina members, depending on the situation, and gets transported back near the Love Zero afterwards. The transformation seemed to be instantaneous, as the Love Zero and the civilians doesn't even notice her and the others disappearing and reappearing in the duration of their transformation.

Cat Mode (キャットモード) is Lovepat Pink's first mode change. In this mode, she gains access to accessories and powers that are cat-related.

- Agility - Lovepat Pink Cat Mode can use the cat's agility to outmaneuver a fast Love Zero.
- Cat Toys - Lovepat Pink Cat Mode can lend the Love Zero some giant cat teaser toys to make it docile.
- Cat Teaser Feather: - a giant cat teaser feather.
- Claw Tickler: - a giant cat tickler.
- Cat Paw Mittens - Lovepat Pink Cat Mode can equip this item for a "Cat Punch".
- Cat's Eye - a handheld masquerade eyemask that allows Lovepat Pink Cat Mode to see through dark places.
"Lovepat Pink, Merry Mode! Baa Baa!"
Merry Mode (メリーモード) is Lovepat Pink's second mode change. In this mode, she gains access to sheep-related powers.

- Sheep Counting - Lovepat Pink Merry Mode can use a hypnotic suggestion of counting sheeps to lower the Love Zero's guard.
"Lovepat Pink, Rex Mode! Roar!"
Rex Mode (レックスモード) is Lovepat Pink's third mode change, received after Sora's first successful completion of Lovepyoco's LovePyoco Meter in her Lovepat Skyly. In this mode, Lovepat Pink gains powers related to the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Special Mode Ability[]
- Rex Mode Dance Attack - a dance with heavy steps that shakes the area where Lovepat Pink Rex Mode is dancing.
- Enhanced Strength - Lovepat Pink Rex Mode gains enhanced strength enough to even force a dimensional rip to close. Used on the first Lovepat Tube episode.

Lovepyocorina (ラブピョコリーナ) is the strongest power-up mode of the four Lovepatrinas.
Transformation[]
Pressing the pink heart in the Lovepat Pyoco Heart four times, afterwards inserting the Lovepyocorina Trans Form Card, the spherical screen at the center of the Lovepat Pyoco Heart to reveal Lovepyoco, who says "Pyocorina!" Pressing the pink button again three times while saying "Love", "Pyoco", and "Rina", the four girls would then transform into their Lovepyocorina Modes.

- Lovepat Wing (ラブパトウィング): Lovepatrina's attack item used to defeat the "Love Zero".
- Lovepat Cards: Various attacks can be used with the cards, used with the Lovepat Shuffle and Lovepat Wing.
- Lovepat Whistle (ラブパトホイッスル): a small whistle that announces the Lovepatrinas' arrival along with the Love Violation Card.
- Police Line Tape: a roll of police tape with the words "Keep Out Please Do Not Enter" (立入禁止 入らないでください). It can be used to increase the effectiveness of the "Forbidden Zone Investigation Card".
- Hand-Held Police Siren: a hand-propelled police siren that lights up when the handle is turned. It appears when the Patrol Card is used.
- Mini Police Car: a mini-car that has Lovepat Pink's element crest and a police siren, presumably appears when the Patrol Card is used.[4]
- Bittomo Whistle: a whistle that functions similarly to the Lovepatrinas' Lovepat Yell. It was given to them by Kirapawa Sunny after saving Lovepat Pink.[5]
